Maxwell Field WWII Written by a soldier at Paine Field, Washington, in February 1943. From the letter……Dear Mother, Received your letter today just 3 days on the way. Glad to hear everything is ok the same with me. Weather at present is good the moon is full and bright with the bull frogs chirping in the stream nearby. I received the V-mails and 20 stamps ok and thanks. Sorry to hear David and Jim were sick. Sorry weather is so cold there now. Be careful of radiator when you go out and don’t let antifreeze boil out, because the stuff they use boils more quickly than stock of 2 years ago......

I don’t know whether you want to hear from me again but if you do let me know….. |
