WWII Air Fields
During WWII, there were Air Fields scattered all over the United States. It was a huge undertaking to provide training for enough pilots and air crews to fight the war. The majority of the Air Forces, were Army Air Force units, but there were also Naval Air Force Units, and some Marine Air units.  By reading letters from the different Air Fields, you can get an idea of what life was like for these brave men and women of the greatest generation, while they prepared for participation in WWII. Please check back often, as we will be adding letters to this site weekly.
