Home

During WWII, most of the US soldiers, sailors, and marines, had never visited another country, and many had never left the borders of their home state. Soon they were scattered all over the globe. Many of them wanted to send home souvenirs to their families and friends. Currency was a perfect item to send home, since it was light weight, and easily fit into their letters home. On this page are examples of what they sent back home.
